Inspirational Quotes for Helping Professionals to Remind You Why You Do What You Do When You Feel Like Giving Up
This one is for all the helpers out there. The social workers, mental health professionals, teachers, nurses, counselors, coaches, any job where you are caring for and/or assisting other people. As a social worker myself, I know that being a helping professional can be extremely overwhelming at times. We’re often over worked, and underpaid. We interact with people all day which can be draining depending on your personality. We are there to listen to peoples’ raw emotions and traumatic experiences. There’s never enough time in the work day to do everything that’s required of us. We get emotionally invested in our work. To top it off, we don’t always get to hear that well deserved “thank you.” It’s easy to start feeling unappreciated. So why do we put ourselves through this? Because we have a passion to help others. Because it’s so rewarding to see our clients/students make positive changes and grow. Because it’s SO worth it the times we do hear “thank you for everything.” Still need more convincing? Read these 20 inspirational quotes for helping professionals to remind you of why you do what you do, and inspire you to keep being amazing at it.
