The Ultimate 3 Step Night Time Routine
When I get home from work I have around 5 hours to spare before I go to sleep. So it’s important to me to make the most out of that time and be very intentional with where I focus my energy. However, I’m also not the kind of person who likes to do the exact same thing every single evening. I get bored easily and won’t stick with the night time routine I created. To prevent that boredom I came up with a 3 step “formula” of things I like to do at night that can easily be switched up by plugging different activities in each step that achieve the same purpose. Are you also easily bored, but want to establish a night time routine that works? Let’s do this girl.use 3 simple steps to create a night time routine that doesn't feel routine Click To Tweet

My review reflects my honest opinion as I only recommend products that I truly love!)
1. Exercise your body
The first step for this night time routine is to do something to exercise your body. Believe it or not, this can be done in many different ways. That’s the beauty of all 3 of these steps, variety! You can go to the gym, work out at home, talk a long walk in your neighborhood, or even do yoga or pilates or something like that. I have a treadmill at home so I’ll usually use that for 30 minutes and then do some squats and weights. Another idea is to follow a workout video on YouTube! There’s SO many out there that you could do a different video every day (variety!). The benefit to exercising as part of your night time routine is it’ll help you sleep better. Besides that, exercise is just overall amazing for your health.

2. Exercise your mind
As you can see this is also a very broad step that can be satisfied with a variety of different activities. So after you exercise your body, take some time to do the same for your mind! Reading, and journaling are two major things that come to mind when I think about this, however, there are plenty more options. Maybe you prefer watching videos over reading. Watch an educational documentary, or anything about a topic that you’re interested in. Another option is to learn a new language. You can also listen to a self development podcast, or even color in an adult coloring book. If you’re into art, you can paint, or draw to exercise your mind for your night time routine. If you’re a blogger, I totally consider blogging as a way to exercise your mind. It’s definitely part of my routine on most nights (but always remember to take a break too!)
3. Nourish your body
You might think of food when I say to nourish your body, but there’s more to it than that. Food is definitely part of it though. Make yourself a healthy dinner, and sit down to enjoy it. How else can you nourish your body during your night time routine? Well, your skin is the largest organ of your body and it needs to be nurtured too. After your shower, do a face mask, and show your skin some love with a nourishing lotion or cream. As you guys may know, I only use organic products on my skin because other products can contain endocrine disrupters, carcinogens, and other toxic synthetic chemicals that I’d rather not absorb into my body. A new favorite of mine for organic skincare is Healtop; a health and wellness platform that offers 100% natural skin care products, natural supplements, and essential oil blends. All of their products are made with 100% natural and active ingredients, and are free of other yucky stuff like parabens/sls/artificial scents! Now that’s a good time 😉Exercise and nourish your body & mind to feel rested in the morning Click To Tweet
I’ve been using Healtop’s 100% Natural Body Cream to nourish my skin before I go to sleep. It’s coconut oil based, and coconut oil has so many health benefits. It’s super moisturizing and contains vitamin E and proteins that keep your skin healthy and soft. Aside from the coconut oil, this body cream contains other healing oils in it including lavender oil, and you guys know the love I have for lavender oil (they sell lavender essential oil too!) So, naturally, this product smells amazing, and leaves my skin feeling really soft and moisturized (that feeling lasts a long time too!). It also absorbs super well for being coconut oil based, and a little goes a long way. I only really need to use a quarter of the amount that I would use of a “mainstream” lotion.
I’ve also been using Healtop’s 100% Natural Foot Cream. This cream is shea butter based, and I love shea butter. It’s one of the most moisturizing butters out there. This cream also contains lavender oil, almond oil, and calendula oil (and more!) which are all extremely soothing and nourishing oils. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and moisturized so it’s going to perfect for the winter time when my skin becomes more dry. A little also goes a long way with this product as well. So give yourself a foot massage with this stuff girl, you deserve it.
